Code of Ethics

As a member in good standing, I believe in, and accept the responsibilities and obligations inherent in providing products and services. Basic to these ethical beliefs, I agree to abide by and support the following objectives:

  1. Conduct my business affairs with professionalism and proficiency.
  2. Provide the best product, service, and building value possible.
  3. Protect my customer through the use of quality materials and approved building practices backed by integrity and service.
  4. Meet all of my financial obligations in a responsible manner.
  5. Comply with the spirit and letter of my business contracts.
  6. Manage my employees, subcontractors and suppliers with fairness and honor.
  7. Keep informed regarding public policies and other essential information which affects my business interests and those of the building industry as a whole.
  8. Comply with the rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety and welfare of my community.
  9. Provide timely response to complaints and items covered under warranty.
  10. Seek to resolve any controversy in which I am involved through a non-litigation dispute resolution mechanism.
  11. Not attempt to injure with malicious intent, either directly or indirectly, the professional reputation, practice, or employment of another Member.
  12. Support and abide by the decisions of the Association in promoting and enforcing this Code of Ethics.

As a member, I assume the full responsibilities of this Code of Ethics freely, and am mindful that these responsibilities are a part of my obligation as a member of the Hill Country Home Builders Association. I pledge my support to this Code of Ethics.
